God loves you. Let me repeat: God loves YOU! Yes, He really does. No matter what you have done. No matter what you have not done. No matter who you are. Father God sent His son Jesus to die so that anyone who believes in Jesus becomes a child of God.

Sometimes it’s hard to really believe that someone as mighty as Creator God loves you. How can He even know you exist? But He does and even before you were born, this wonderful, unimaginable heavenly Father planned for you. It took me many years to fully understand that beautiful fact, which is why I don’t want you to struggle with it any longer. Even when we forsake Him and go a different direction than His will, He still loves us. As soon as we’re ready to turn around and tell Him we’re going to follow His lead, He forgives us. Father God does not hold grudges. So if we forget about Him for a while, He won’t hold that against us.

Sometimes frictions rise between human parents and their children and they don’t speak for a while or don’t see each other. God won’t do that. He always wants to talk with you and tell you how much He loves you. Your heavenly Father always wants you to go to Him with you cares and problems. And with your joys.

Relationship is a huge thing with God. That’s what He’s all about. Your relationship with Him. The best way to make Father God happy is to have a great relationship with Him. And that’s very possible. When we believe that Jesus died on the cross so that our sins against a Holy God could be forgiven, then the Holy Spirit comes into our lives and helps us want to have a good relationship with the Father. The Holy Spirit helps us understand what is pleasing and what isn’t pleasing to God and even gives us the will to do what’s good.

God is love (1 John 4:16). Many Scriptures talk about God’s love but this one states it so plainly and simply. God is Love. You could really say, Love is God. That’s His name, the largest component of Him. He is all about love.

Can you feel your heavenly Father’s love wrapped all around you like a warm, cozy blanket on a cold day? That’s the way God wants you to know Him. That no matter if you’ve strayed from Him, He’s calling you back so that relationship He so treasures can recapture the joy you were made to know. Today ask God to show you that tremendous love meant just for you.
