Doubt or Confidence?

A mind troubled by doubt cannot focus on the course of victory,” said Arthur Golden. “I never seek to defeat the man I am fighting,” he explained. “I seek to defeat his confidence. A mind troubled by doubt cannot focus on the course to victory. Two men are equals – true equals – only when they both have equal confidence.”

Is our confidence in ourselves? Then we don’t have much to stand on, BUT if our confidence is in God – then we have His Word that CANNOT lie. That’s everything.

Ephesians 3:12: In him and through faith in him [Jesus Christ] we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Hebrews 10:19: Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, [Hebrews 4:16] Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. [Hebrews 10:35] So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 13:6: So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

1 John 3:21: Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God.

My question today is “Where is my confidence?”

Very good blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Cheers!

I’d definitely start with a free WordPress blog. Why pay for something until you’re really good at it and know for sure that you want to continue with it? Besides WordPress has a premium feature so if you want more, I imagine you could simply transfer content from the free to the paid site. I imagine but you’d have to check to be sure. I tried to email you a personal reply shortly after you made this comment but I’m not sure if you received it. Best wishes for a great blog!
