Once a teacher, always a teacher:
Teaching gets into the bloodstream,
Changes a person’s outlook,
Affects her every dream.

Makes her thinking organized
As she details every plan;
Wanting each child to benefit,
Never content ‘til he can.

Total satisfaction unknown to her:
Always must be learning more,
Then can’t wait to teach this also;
Students she never wants to bore.

Teachers should be called by God,
For pay is always below par,
But teaching brings its own reward:
Seeing her students going far.
